Frequently Asked Questions
Here’s everything you need to know
-
Hebridean hogget refers to lamb meat that comes from Hebridean sheep, a traditional Scottish breed known for its hardiness and rich flavour.
Unlike regular lamb, which is typically harvested in less than one year, Hebridean meat takes longer to mature. Our hogget is between 18 months to 2 years old and this extra time grazing on the natural pastures of Earnieside gives the meat a deeper, more complex flavour. -
To enquire about or purchase Hebridean hogget meat, please fill out the request form on our contact page. To ensure your request reaches us, please select 'Meat' from the query topic dropdown.
Fresh meat is available approximately 5-6 times throughout the year and our frozen meat is available year round. For our fresh meat last order dates, please see the 'How often is meat available' section of our FAQs page. -
